BANC Fitness & Walks
BANC Fitness and Walks (BANCFW) is a new, free, weekly yoga and walking program in Blackheath for men and women aged over 60.
BANCFW offers walks & yoga on alternate weeks. See calendar.
We start with walks on 15 November 2019 1030AM at Blackheath Area Neighbourhood Centre in Blackheath. See map.
BANCFW is a collaboration of physiowalks.com, the Blackheath Area Neighbourhood Centre (BANC, and Blackheath Yoga Studios. BANCFW is funded by a grant from Musculoskeletal Australia.
You can can come just to the walk weeks, just to yoga, or both.
Is this for you?
You should be able to get up and down off the floor with the help of a chair, and able to comfortably walk for at least 30 minutes. We’re encouraging people to come with a friend. And we’re encouraging referrals from families, carers, GPs, pharmacists and allied health professionals.
So, come to feel refreshed. Stay for the coffee. And enjoy some extra spring in your step.
For walks - comfortable shoes, sunscreen, hat and a water bottle.
For yoga - mats supplied - but you can bring your own.
